Breast Cancer Awareness (October Pink) and Prostate Cancer Awareness (November Blue) campaigns are part of the programming for Uisa’s 3,000+ employees.
To prioritize and encourage practices that foster well-being and quality of life, Uisa is hosting its first-ever Health Week. The initiative runs from October 15 to 18 and targets industrial, administrative, agricultural, and packaging unit teams.
Activities include guidance on healthy eating, the kickoff of the November Blue campaign with PSA testing, adult vaccination card updates, and the second edition of the October Pink Talk Show.
“This year, our program emphasizes prevention and early diagnosis, with key pillars including healthy eating, physical activity, and self-care. We highlight the high probability of curing breast, cervical, and prostate cancers when healthy habits and preventative measures are applied effectively,” says Silvia Sobrinho, Uisa’s Occupational Health Supervisor.
On Tuesday, October 15, employees participated in nutritional guidance sessions focusing on the ideal meal plate and BMI (Body Mass Index) assessments. The Health Week programming continues through Friday, ensuring access to these initiatives for all company employees.
