Biomass serves as a sustainable alternative with high potential for animal nutrition.
This year’s dry season brought significant wildfire impacts across various regions of Brazil, including Mato Grosso, one of the states with the highest incidence of fires. To help local farmers and producers mitigate the damage caused by the severe drought, Uisa donated 465 tons of sugarcane bagasse for the nutrition of animals affected by the fires, as pastures were also devastated by the flames.
The donations were allocated to entities in Nova Olímpia, Denise, Tangará da Serra, and Alto Paraguai. Beneficiaries included the Rotary Club of Nova Olímpia, the Municipality of Alto Paraguai, the Union of Rural Workers in Denise, and the Municipality of Tangará da Serra.
